District Entry Meeting in Ho Municipal Assembly.

Abantu for Development with support from STAR Ghana organized a district entry meeting in Ho, Hotel Stevens on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. This was part of the implementation process of the project Titled, “Strengthening Women’s Capacities for effectiveness in Ghana’s Local Governance”.

The meeting brought together stakeholders in the Ho municipal assembly who strategised and deliberated on how best to increase women’s representation and participation in the Assembly during the 2019 District Level Elections. Present were representatives from the Department or Gender, Traditional and Religious Leaders, Women’s Groups, Assembly women and men, Assembly members, Women Aspirants, Youth associations, CSO’s, Ghana Education Service, Queen Mothers and Chiefs.
