ABANTU FOR DEVELOPMENT & COCOA LIFE engaged the youth and institutional representatives in the Bia East District of Western North Region, Ghana on Gender issues and leadership.
The youth were taken through various models on leadership and presented with various challenges hindering gender inclusion in Ghana and what roles they play in effecting change. They were generally impressed about the training and have committed to replicating the training in their communities and youth groups.
The Institutional representatives were also been enlightened on Gender issues and how to implement gender responsive programs. During the evaluation session, they stated how the training has changed their perspective of Gender issues and the need for Ghana to pass the Affirmative Action Bill into Law.
